This Privacy Policy explains how the campaign collects, uses, stores and discloses information obtained through this website, campaign Google Forms and related campaign communications.

The campaign may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you:

  • request a lawn sign;
  • volunteer;

Access to campaign forms and records will be limited to Brian Abdallah and authorized campaign personnel who require the information to perform campaign duties.

Google states that content stored in Google Docs, Sheets and related services is private unless the account holder chooses to share it. Google also processes certain information to provide, secure and maintain its services. Information submitted through Google services is also subject to Google’s applicable terms and privacy practices.

A Google Form may collect your email address when:

  • the form is configured to collect email addresses; or
  • you are asked to sign into a Google account before responding.

Each campaign form should identify what information is being collected and the purpose for which it will be used.

3. How We Use Information

The campaign may use personal information to:

  • arrange lawn-sign delivery, installation or removal;
  • coordinate volunteers and campaign activities;

The website, WordPress software or the website-hosting provider may automatically process limited technical information necessary to display, operate and secure the website.

  • operating system;
  • pages requested or visited;

  • approximate geographic region;
  • website error information; and
  • security or server-log information.

6. Cookies and Google Analytics

The website may use essential cookies or similar technologies required for basic website functionality, security and administration.

The campaign does not currently use Google Analytics.

The campaign does not currently intend to use behavioural advertising, personalized advertising or cross-site advertising-tracking tools.

The campaign does not sell or rent personal information.

Campaign personnel will be expected to access and use personal information only for authorized campaign purposes.

Information processed by Google or website-hosting providers may be stored or processed outside Ontario or Canada. When information is processed in another jurisdiction, it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.

8. Information Retention

The campaign will retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • complete the activity for which it was collected;
  • administer campaign operations;
  • coordinate volunteers, signs and events;
  • respond to inquiries;
  • maintain campaign contribution and financial records;
  • complete required campaign reporting;

  • satisfy applicable election and legal requirements.

When personal information is no longer reasonably required, the campaign will take reasonable steps to delete, destroy or anonymize it.

Information that must be maintained under election-finance or other legal requirements will be retained for the required period.
