Meet Brian Abdallah
Born and raised in Pembroke, Brian grew up in his family’s downtown business, George Abdallah Furniture, where his mother and father, former mayor George Abdallah, taught him the importance of hard work and giving back to the community. Brian and his wife Mary are retired educators.
Brian is now serving his second term on city council, currently as Deputy Mayor. Working collaboratively as council lead on Pembroke’s successful public transit pilot project, he helped advance an important new service for the community. Brian brings diverse business experience at both the local and international level, including concert promotion through Green Tomato Productions and market development with Snapmaker Technologies. With experience spanning business, education, community organizations, and municipal government, Brian is ready to serve Pembroke as a full-time mayor.
His community leadership includes the Pembroke Public Library Board, Ottawa Valley Affordable Housing Non- Profit, founding co-chair of the Pembroke Community Watch Program, Pembroke Care for Community Garden, and a 25-year member of the Pembroke Kinsmen Club.
